Dear Patients,

As we plan to re-open our practice we would like to update you on the following policies.  We have had to change the way things work to comply with government guidelines amidst COVID-19.  Please do not worry a member of staff will greet you and chaperone you through the process to make you feel as comfortable as possible.  We look forward to seeing you all soon.   From all of the Burnbank Dental Care staff.

Patient Attendance Procedure.

You will receive a phone call on the morning of your appointment for COVID-19 screening.

Before you leave home to attend your appointment you should use the toilet as toilet facilities will be unavailable.  You should leave most of your belongings at home or in the car and bring minimal into the practice with you.  You will have been sent a link to fill in a medical history which MUST be completed and returned in the same manner.  You may be asked to pay prior to attendance by telephone to minimise cash handling and cross infection.

On arrival please telephone the practice to let us know you have arrived.  If you have arrived by car please stay in your car until we call you.  On arrival at the door you will be met by a member of staff who will take your temperature to allow entry to the practice.  If your temperature is above 37.5 you will have to rearrange your appointment.   You will then be asked to sanitise your hands and a member of staff will direct you to place your belongings into a secure box which will be returned to you when you leave the surgery.  You will then be directed to our hand wash facilities to wash your hands.  It is only then you are ready to enter the surgery for your treatment.

Our reception/waiting area has been redesigned to allow for 2 meter social distancing.  You must follow the social distancing protocol.

Many Thanks in your patience and understanding at these uncertain times.  We hope to get back to normal as soon as possible.
